Step 2: Treat
We use a combination of products that kill adult fleas and stop them from reproducing. Treatment focuses on where activity is highest, usually carpeted areas inside, and long grass and shaded spots outside where pets spend time. Interior and exterior areas are treated based on where activity has been identified. Treatments are applied carefully and strategically, with your family and pets in mind.
Step 3: Follow Up
We come back for a second treatment 14 days later. Vacuuming makes flea eggs hatch, and the second visit takes care of those newly hatched fleas before they can breed. If fleas or ticks return during your guarantee period, we will come back at no charge.

Preparation is a big part of getting rid of fleas. We'll send you a full prep sheet before your visit. The most important steps are:
Take your pets to the vet so they're treated at the same time. If they aren't, the fleas will come right back no matter what we do in your home.
Wash pet bedding and any other affected linens, then dry them on high heat. The heat kills fleas and eggs.
Vacuum before and after treatment. The vibration helps eggs hatch, and newly hatched fleas are much easier for us to kill than eggs.

The first treatment takes care of adult fleas, but eggs are harder to reach. Over the next 2 to 4 weeks, you may still see a few fleas, either dying or newly hatched. That's normal, and it's why we include a follow-up treatment 14 days after the first.
